(NASDAQ:AAPL) and International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE:IBM) have come out mutually to announce an exclusive partnership to develop apps for iPhone and iPads. In this combined agreement, the companies keeping aside their three decade old rivalry will focus their expertise on developing apps for iOS devices.

Both the companies are looking forward to create apps for the newer generation which will provide them the benefit of their combined utilities. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will put in its simple user interface, innovative design, and customer-service based relationship to use for making apps. Where IBM with its cloud services, data analytics, security systems and its corporate based user market will help both tailor apps for a bigger market.

For now as a part of deal the two companies will exercise their expertise on four core sections, which are

They will be looking to deliver more than 100 industries; enterprise solutions and native apps designed only for iOS devices such as iPad and iPhone.

They will work on creating an enterprise based support system, an integrated part of Apple Care service which will work with the help of IBM in providing 24*7 support and on-site services.

IBM’s Offerings To Apple

IBM has come forward to supply and manage iOS devices to its business customers. Unique cloud services specifically optimised for iOS will be offered by them. Enhanced mobile management will provide secured transaction services, an app catalog and productivity suites for all iOS devices.

Mutual Benefits Of Partnership

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) acknowledged a much needed enterprise mobility market for them to step in. But enterprise mobile apps were to be secured with back up and security, which only IBM could offer them for. Also IBM needed a market to sell its services, cloud solutions and securities systems, in which Apple already had its roots established.
