Tomahawk, WI 8/08/2013 (Basicsmedia) – OKS is the ticker symbol for ONEOK Partners LP, a company is publicly quoted in NYSE and as founded in 1993. OKS uses Tulsa, Oklahoma as the location for its headquarters from where it gathers, processes, stores and transports natural gas across the U.S. Its business is run using three segments which include natural gas gathering and processing, and natural gas liquids as well as natural gas pipelines. If you want to invest in this company, you need to ask yourself how the natural gas industry is performing right now, in addition to looking at OKS financial results.

Examining OKS Strengths and Weaknesses

If you never knew it, or no one has told you as yet, OKS is a major and very prominent natural gas partnership. But even with this in mind, you must perform an exercise where you evaluate the company’s strengths and weaknesses. In terms of strengths, let me mention that the company has enjoyed a steady growth in its revenue. Taking a look at two years, 2006 and 2011, you will notice that the company announced revenues of $4.71 billion and $11.32 billion respectively. This represented growth of close to 19.71% every single year from 2006 to 2011.

The latest projections indicate that the 2014 revenue which will be reported by OKS will rise to an impressive $14 billion, if all factors remain constant, and the company continues on the same path. What has led to the growth which has been noted thus far? The huge demand for natural gas transportation, and which appears to continue for a long time to come, is something which will play a major role in the continued growth of the company’s revenue. The strong demand for natural gas is from various quarters or sources and not just one country.

Very few countries have been able to report massive dividends like OKS, which keeps raising this amount from one year to the next. Its quarterly dividends are paid at the rate of $0.71 per share, and this means they yield an impressive 4.86% every single year. The fact that the company has opted to continue trading based no low valuation is also working to its favor and attracting more investors on board. Investors love certainty and stability, which are two traits OKS delivers massively due to the nature of its business model. It’s predictable and stable.

If you are a long term investor, one of the features you look for in any company where you intend to cast your investments is whether it has low volatility. This is where OKS delivers a top performance since it has volatility which is much lower than what you would experience in the market. If you were to take a look at how the company’s profits have behaved in the last ten years, you would be amazed by the fact that it has grown by more than 230% over the same period. This trend is expected to continue in the same fashion into the foreseeable future.

OKS has great future and I would recommend it to anyone willing to invest in.
