Tomahawk, WI 07/08/2014 (Basicsmedia) – Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:BBRY) well known as BlackBerry Limited would be selling its German based R&D skills to Volkswagen Infotainment GmbH, a branch of Volkswagen AG (ADR)(OTCMKTS:VLKAY). As per the agreement company’s 200 employees at the R&D department in Germany would now serve for Volkswagen Infotainment. However, the deal aspects were not disclosed by the company. Volkswagen Infotainment is a technology branch created by Volkswagen to innovate technologies related to automobile information and entertainment systems.

The offshoot by the Canadian phone producer is considered as an attempt to speed its cash flow and bring itself back to the profitable stage as earlier. It is just a follow up by the business when earlier it sold up the majority of its Canadian real estate covering the land area of 3 million square feet worth $278 million. The objective to sell out its assets in a bid was just to reinforce its balance sheet.

BlackBerry Wins Red Dot Awards

BlackBerry, a worldwide leader in mobile communication has been rewarded with three prestigious Red Dot Awards for its high quality product design. The products that are been rewarded are BlackBerry Z30, BlackBerry Q5 and BlackBerry Q10 smart phones. The winners were chosen on the basis of innovation and quality of each gadget, by a 40 member expertise panel, which gave the decision as per the 4,815 entries through 53 different nations. These award winning products would be recognized at Red Dot Gala in Essen, Germany and would be presented at the Red Dot Museum as well.

New Square Shaped Smartphone From BlackBerry

To its consumer’s amaze BlackBerry has time launched a smart phone which is square in shape and looks quite different from normal smart phones. The firm argues on the same and gives the justification that the 4.5 inch square shaped screen is quite comfortable for reading documents and you don’t have to scroll much for reading.
