Tomahawk, WI 09/11/2014 (Basicsmedia) – T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE:TMUS) push to become unique in the ever competitive wireless space has seen it develop a built-in feature that will allow users to make phone calls and send texts via their Wi-Fi connections. In an interview on CNBC CEO, John Legere, also pointed out that August was the best month for the company in history, in terms of an increase in subscribers, into the network.

T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE:TMUS) efforts of turning around years of subscriber losses looks to be finally paying off after an aggressive promotion resulted in the addition of 2.75 million new subscribers into the network.

“We added 10% more customer’s gross ads, in the month of August than any other month in the history of the company, and it is because of this un-carrier moves, it’s because of the brand, and I think this proposition of being the un-carrier in changing the industry is really working,” said Mr. Legere.

CNBC Dan Nathan maintains that T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE:TMUS) e latest push for the un-carrier technology will only be of benefit to consumers without any significant impact on the overall company’s margins. Competition in the wireless space continues to pose the biggest challenge, with Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) and Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) all trying to attract customers aggressively at the back of iPhone 6 release.

T-Mobile un-carrier campaign is part of an effort to try and address the fact that T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE:TMUS) does not stretch to many rural areas compared to how its network is’ clustered in urban settings.

“When I hear un-carrier, I think unprofitable. When you talk about no major releases […] we are all consumers here; this is great for consumers it is going to be bad for this guys who are trying to consolidate. There are too many competitors the pricing is going to zero eventually,” said Mr. Nathan.

Jon Najarian also shares the same sentiments as Nathan on T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE:TMUS), reiterating that the un-carrier campaign only prompts a merger or acquisition from other players in the space, without any effect on the company’s stock price.
