Tomahawk, WI 11/25/2013 (BasicsMedia) – Consumers have looked at Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) and appear to be pleased with what they have seen. They rank TSLA tops in many categories, a clear indication that the company must be doing something right. Consumers evaluated TSLA mostly based on its Model S electric vehicle that has taken the world by storm, and helped propel this company to the position of being among the best producers of electric cars worldwide. The company’s Model S scored close to 99 out of 100 marks in various categories, the highest in the last five years or so.

TSLA’s Model S performed much better than Porsche Boxster, which came in second place after garnering 95 out of 100 points. The third place was taken by two cars, namely, General Motors’ Chevrolet Volt and Porsche 911, which both garnered 91 out of a possible 100 points. To understand the validity of this survey, close to 350,000 people who own cars were polled to find out what they thought of various models regardless of the brand, or which car they owned. More than 600 of these people owned Model S, and this shows how pleased they are with this model.

It is worth pointing out that the survey was carried out prior to the three fires that befell Model S, and which attracted negative news and feedback across the motoring world. If the survey had been carried out after the fires that made Model S suffer a great deal from negative publicity, it is doubtable if its owners would still have ranked it as highly as they did. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s Model S was ranked highly in three main categories; performance, design and practicality. Many car owners feel that the Model S is both harmless to the environment and fun to drive.

Any car that gives owners a great deal of fun when driving, and is eco-friendly, normally attracts high approval rates from the public. For Model S, the above statement holds true, and when you consider that consumers were satisfied with its performance in the areas of fuel economy, luxuriousness, and technological superiority, you begin to understand that this electric car from Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) was never going to be ranked anywhere else other than in the first position. Let no one forget the fact that Model S enjoys the safety rating of 5.4, which is the highest in the U.S.

People love Model S for a number of reasons. Some point at their ability to cool or heat the car safely using their phones, even if they are outside the car, as one of the reasons for the huge amount of love they have for Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s Model S electric car. Others point to the fact that it is much cheaper for them to refuel or recharge a Model S, compared to the amount of money they spend on their ICE vehicles. Regardless of the reasons, it is hard to ignore the fact that TSLA’s Model S enjoys the best ratings in 2013, more than its erstwhile competitors do.
