Tomahawk, WI 12/04/2013 (BasicsMedia) – For quite some time now, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has operated an Employee Evaluation System. The problem is that employees have never taken warmly to the evaluation and have always felt that the company was not carrying this procedure out well enough. The employees at MSFT always felt that those evaluating them were strangers who had no idea about any aspect of their lives, nor how best they operated in and out of the company. Inevitably, MSFT has seen the logic in the argument and has opted to cancel this system in favor of another.

Employee Evaluation System Helped to Reward Employees

The purpose of the former Employee Evaluation System that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) run, was to find ways of rewarding employees based on the results each one of them posted. The reward took many forms, but one of the most sought after was a promotion based on the results one posted on being evaluated. However, a number of employees at Microsoft felt that they were denied the rewards their talents and skills merited because those evaluating them failed to recognize their true worth and value. This will now change as Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) introduces a new system of evaluation.

Microsoft Corporation has said that the new system of evaluation will be helpful both to employees and to the evaluators. Henceforth, managers and the team of evaluators tasked with this responsibility, will do it much better and succeed in rewarding employees appropriately based on what they posted. The rewarding system will help managers and their respective teams to identify unique contributions made by each employee, then reward them accordingly. The new system makes more sense and is sure to attract a lot of positive reviews from Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) employees.

Microsoft opted to do away with the older system since it understood that it needed to create an atmosphere that would be conducive to encouraging better cooperation between employees and the managers evaluating them. Under the older system, it is clear that cooperation between these two vital groups, was impossible to achieve or foster. Evidently, lack of cooperation never benefited Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) in any way, but there is strong belief that the new system of evaluating and apportioning rewards aptly will help create a better working relationship among all groups.

No Single MSFT Employee Favored Old Evaluation System

All Microsoft employees, regardless of their positions at the company, pointed at the stack-ranking system as the most destructive. Although it is an internal evaluation system, most employees believe that it is the most destructive habit that the company must find ways of getting rid of in order to boost employee confidence and increase productivity as well. There is no reason for anyone to argue with what employees feel about this system, and now that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has gotten rid of it, there is hope that it will lead to lots of innovativeness among employees.

Overall, this shows that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is willing to listen to its employees, and seeks to improve their working conditions to increase productivity, innovativeness, and efficiency that a tech firm of its caliber needs to continue thriving.
